For one of our recent projects in Saudi Arabia, we sourced travertine from Iran—a process complicated by economic sanctions and embargoes. As with all of our sourcing efforts, we ensured that the Palestinian family who owns the quarry had no ties to political parties, militant organizations, or any groups involved in the conflict. This meticulous vetting process is especially critical in regions where ongoing hostilities can obscure ethical boundaries. By choosing partners who meet our high standards, we are able to fulfill project requirements without compromising on our ethical commitments.
